We do commercial plumbing across Cairns, the northern beaches and up to Port Douglas, for hotels and accommodation, body corporate buildings, schools, aged care, cafes and commercial kitchens, offices and light industrial sites.
When you call, a plumber answers and works out what the job involves and how urgent it is. On a commercial site that usually means a look at access, what’s running above and below the work, and when we can get in without interrupting you. You’ll have a quote before anything starts, and if it’s a breakdown that’s stopping you trading, we’ll get to you the same day where we can.
Commercial plumbing covers a fair bit of ground, from a single leaking cistern up to a full kitchen fit-out.
The steady list that comes with running a building: taps and cisterns, leaks, hot water, drainage, and the repairs that turn up without warning. We can work off a scheduled visit or take the calls as they come, and we write up what was done on each one so whoever manages the building has the record.
Blocked floor wastes, grease-loaded kitchen lines, and the sewer and stormwater runs that serve a whole building. Larger lines and shared drainage take a different approach to a domestic drain, and where the cause isn’t obvious we can put a camera down the line before anything gets pulled apart.
Hot water for a building with a lot of outlets and a lot of demand hitting at once, whether that’s accommodation, a kitchen or a bathroom block. We repair and replace units, and where a system keeps falling short we’ll look at whether it’s the unit or the way it’s been sized for the building.
We hold gas licences, so commercial gas stays in-house. That covers appliance connections and changeovers in a commercial kitchen, gas lines and sizing, leak testing, and compliance checks on an installation you’ve taken over from a previous operator.
Any testable backflow prevention device on a commercial property has to be tested every year by someone endorsed to do it. We’re endorsed for it, so the test can sit inside your maintenance schedule instead of being a separate trade to book.
Rough-in and fit-off for a new tenancy, a kitchen going in, or a bathroom block being redone. We work to the builder’s or the shopfitter’s program and sequence our part around the other trades so the handover date holds.
We’ve spent real time on industrial sites, including polywelding, process and fire line work, and plumbing inside scheduled shutdown windows. If you need an extra crew for a window, or a plumber who has worked at that pace before, we can take it on.

We work out access and timing before the job starts, which usually means an early start, a quiet stretch in the middle of the day, or a night the building can spare. We isolate as little of the building as the job allows, and you’ll know up front what’s going off and for how long, so you can tell whoever needs telling.
We keep the working area contained, clean up before we leave, and write up what was done for the building manager.

Both. Some buildings have us on a scheduled visit, others call when something goes wrong, and either works. If you’d rather a regular slot, tell us what the building generally needs and how often and we’ll build a schedule around it.
We do. We can deal with the body corporate manager or the committee directly, and we write up each job so it can be passed on to owners. If a job looks like it crosses between common property and a lot owner, we’ll flag it before we start.
Yes, and on a lot of commercial jobs it’s the only practical way to do it. Early starts, evenings and weekends all work if that’s when the building can give us access. Tell us the window you’ve got and we’ll quote the job around it.
We’re endorsed for backflow testing and certification, so yes. Any testable backflow prevention device on a commercial property has to be tested every year by someone endorsed to do it, and the results go to your local council. If you’re not sure whether your building has a device, or when it was last tested, we can check both while we’re on site.
Kitchens are one of the more common commercial call-outs, between grease-loaded waste lines, gas appliances, and hot water demand that peaks right through service. We hold gas licences, so the gas side stays in-house rather than being subbed out. Kitchen work almost always has to happen outside service, so we book it around when you’re closed.
