Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Province Plumbing. Please review the following service rates and terms of trade prior to confirming your booking. These terms apply to all plumbing and gas fitting work carried out by Province Plumbing in Cairns and the surrounding areas.

Service Rates

• Plumbing maintenance work: $145 per hour + GST
• Plumber and apprentice: $175 per hour including GST
• Gas fitting work: $159 per hour + GST

Drain Cleaning and Camera Equipment

• High pressure jetter and drain camera: $450 for the first hour (including GST)
• Additional jetting time: $175 per hour (including GST)
• CCTV drain inspection service: $250 per hour

After Hours and Emergency Call-Out

After hours emergency call-out rate: $250 (including GST)

Minimum Charge

All work is charged at a minimum of one (1) hour labour. After the first hour, labour is charged in hourly increments or part thereof.

General Terms

1. All work is charged based on time spent on site plus materials required unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Materials, fittings, replacement parts, disposal fees, and additional equipment required are additional unless stated in the quote.
3. Unforeseen issues (such as hidden leaks, damaged pipework, or access issues) may require additional labour or materials. These will be discussed with the customer before proceeding where possible.
4. Province Plumbing will take all reasonable care when working on existing plumbing systems; however, older or deteriorated pipework and fittings may fail during repair or removal. Province Plumbing cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions within the plumbing system.

Drain Clearing Disclaimer

1. While every effort will be made to clear blocked drains using jetting equipment, no guarantee can be provided that all blockages can be fully cleared, particularly where drains are damaged, collapsed, misaligned, or affected by tree roots.
2. If a drain is found to be broken, collapsed, poorly graded, or obstructed by tree roots, further excavation or repair work may be required. This work is not included in the initial drain clearing service and will be quoted separately if required.

Fixture Removal Disclaimer

Province Plumbing will take all reasonable care when removing existing fixtures such as toilets, basins, taps, vanities, and other fittings. However, older fixtures or fittings may become brittle, seized, or deteriorated over time and may break during removal. Province Plumbing cannot be held responsible for breakage of aged or deteriorated fixtures during removal.

Customer Supplied Materials

Where customers choose to supply their own fixtures, fittings, or appliances, Province Plumbing cannot provide warranty on the product itself and is not responsible for manufacturer faults, incorrect parts supplied, or compatibility issues. Labour required to install, modify, or rectify these items will be charged accordingly.

Access to Work Area

The customer must provide safe and clear access to the work area prior to the commencement of work.

Investigative and Fault Finding Work

Where a plumbing issue requires investigation, diagnostic testing, or fault finding, labour charges apply regardless of whether the issue can be immediately resolved. Additional works required to repair the identified problem will be quoted separately where possible.

Excavation and Concealed Services

When excavation or ground disturbance is required, Province Plumbing will take reasonable care; however, Province Plumbing cannot be held responsible for damage to concealed or unmarked underground services such as irrigation lines, stormwater pipes, electrical conduits, communication cables, or other services that are not visible or identified prior to excavation.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to commencement.

Where payment is not made on completion, full payment must be made within seven (7) days of the invoice date.

Province Plumbing reserves the right to apply late payment fees or interest on overdue accounts and to recover any costs associated with debt collection if payment is not made within the stated timeframe.

Suspension of Work

Province Plumbing reserves the right to suspend or cease work where invoices remain unpaid outside the agreed payment terms. Any costs associated with stopping and recommencing works may be charged to the customer.

Acceptance

By accepting a quote and confirming a booking, the customer agrees to the above service rates and terms of trade.
